Meet the Bands Night Aug. 25
Aledo ISD is hosting Meet the Bands Night on Friday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at Aledo High School and come listen to combined performances by the AHS and middle school bands. This is an opportunity to talk with the band directors and enjoy a variety of food trucks. Proceeds go towards the Aledo Bands. 
Bond Steering Committee 2017
The Bond Steering Committee 2017 held three meetings starting in late June to review Aledo ISD facility planning along with demographic and financial reports. The committee will provide a presentation and recommendation to the Board of Trustees during a Special Board Meeting on Thursday, Aug. 3. Meeting documents are provided below.

2017-2018 Registration for Bus Transportation

Will your child be riding the school bus in 2017-2018?

At the beginning of each school year parents are asked to register their student(s) for bus transportation services. If your student rides the bus to or from school, the online transportation registration form needs to be completed.
 
This can be done by clicking here. By completing the form, the Aledo ISD Transportation Department can better prepare for all of the students who will be riding a school bus in 2017-2018. If any changes need to be made or if you have any questions, please call the Aledo ISD Transportation Department at 817-441-5141.

District Approves New McCall Elementary Principal

Aledo ISD has approved Julie Choate as the new McCall Elementary School Principal.

Choate’s hiring was announced at the Monday, July 17 regular Aledo ISD School Board Meeting.

“Mrs. Choate is an exceptional administrator that is dedicated to the success of the students and staff at McCall,” said Dr. Derek Citty, Aledo ISD Superintendent. “She has an excellent vision for the campus and we are excited for the future of McCall with her leadership.”

Hyperlink Shows Progress Updates for Walsh Elementary
Watch the phases of construction of Aledo ISD’s fifth elementary campus at this hyperlink. A time-lapse camera at the site is on loan to the district. It takes a high-level photo every eight minutes and adds it to the collection. Viewers can access specific dates and times to see activity. Eventually, once the school is completed, a comprehensive timeline will be available of the entire construction process to view in just a matter of a few minutes. Stay tuned!  
"Check Acceptance Policy"
Aledo ISD has established the following policy for accepting checks and collecting bad checks: For a check to be an acceptable form of payment, it must include your current, full and accurate name, and address and telephone number. When paying by check, you authorize the recovery of unpaid checks and the recovery of the state-allowed fee by means of electronic re-presentment.
